Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH once again awarded EcoVadis-Gold

Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH has once again been awarded the coveted gold medal by the renowned sustainability rating agency EcoVadis. Every year, more than 150,000 companies worldwide are assessed on the basis of various indicators in four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The gold medal is reserved for the top 5% of all companies assessed.

In 2024, Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH implemented significant improvements and initiatives in the area of sustainability. These include the introduction of new technologies to reduce CO2 emissions in production plants, the extension of ISO certifications to additional locations, and the implementation of a comprehensive energy efficiency programme that has reduced energy consumption.

Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH has also introduced and expanded measures in the area of ethics and sustainable procurement, as demonstrated by the initiation of CR risk analysis for suppliers.

Based on the reduction potential identified and analysed, a roadmap and strategy for decarbonisation by 2030 were drawn up for Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH. Since 2021, 10% of locally generated CO2 emissions have been saved each year compared to the previous year. The company is thus meeting the reduction targets of the Paris Climate Agreement to keep global warming below 1.5°C.
