Honeywell launches new Otter Active Footwear

Honeywell has announced its Otter Active, a new range of safety footwear that uses innovative sole unit technology to help reduce slips, trips and falls in the logistics, transportation and automotive sectors.

“Thanks to new ergonomic pivot points underfoot, Otter Active enables the wearer to make safer, faster and more flexible movements. This, combined with a new tread design, means extremely high slip resistance and improved balance, essential for people who are constantly on the move at work,” said Dennis Quensel, product manager footwear for Honeywell Safety Products EMEAI. “Otter Active also has an innovative modular insole system allowing the wearer to customise the fit to suit their specific foot shape and significantly increase comfort.”
Certified to EN ISO 20345:2011 requirements for safety footwear, the Otter Active range is also petrol, oil and abrasion resistant and is S3 SRC tested and approved, providing the highest level of slip resistance. Shocks and vibrations are also absorbed thanks to the PU midsole.
Six lightweight and metal-free products are available within the Otter Active range; three with leather-free, microfiber uppers and three with premium leather uppers. Boot, shoe and sandal-style options are available, all of which are approved by the Electrostatic Discharge Association (ESD).
