ID Logistics to work with Manhattan WMS to expand in new industry sectors

Manhattan Associates, Inc., has announced that ID Logistics has selected Manhattan’s Warehouse Management Solution (WMS) to help expand its business. Whilst the investment will initially support the company’s further penetration of the pharmaceuticals sector, ID Logistics expects the Manhattan solution will enable expansion into new business and geographical sectors.
ID Logistics has enjoyed a successful history of organic and acquisitive growth since its establishment in 2001 and today caters to the supply chain needs of companies in a variety of industry sectors, operating 275 sites across 16 countries in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. To support the next phase of the company’s development, ID Logistics identified the need for a proven and scalable solution that would enhance its logistics services capabilities and provide additional value to customers.
Christophe Satin, Chief Operating Officer at ID Logistics, commented, “Above all else, our primary goal is to maximise service levels for our customers through the deployment of dedicated, innovative and high-performing solutions. To deliver on that objective and continue the company’s development, we recognised the strategic need for an advanced WMS that could support our complex and diverse activities.”
Satin continued, “With many staff members having already had the opportunity to use the WMS at Manhattan customer sites where those customers’ logistics functions are already outsourced to ID Logistics, our selection of the Manhattan technology as a strategic solution for our business was a logical one.”
ID Logistics also based its selection decision on Manhattan’s track record of continuous innovation to meet evolving customer needs and its deep experience over the last 26 years serving thousands of customers around the world in a range of industry sectors. Additionally, ID Logistics valued the proven capability of Manhattan’s solutions to manage the most complex supply chains, and the globally deployable nature of the Manhattan technology – deliberately designed for implementation within a centralised infrastructure across multiple countries, customers and sites, and backed up by common support tools and a 24/7 customer service capability.
Rémy Malchirand, Managing Director of Manhattan Associates France, commented, “ID Logistics and Manhattan Associates share many core values including a commitment to ongoing solution innovation and a dedication to service excellence. We’re honoured to be selected by this leading logistics services provider. Both ID Logistics and its clients can be confident that Manhattan’s team and its constantly evolving solutions will introduce capabilities that will help build brand loyalty, drive revenue and boost operating margins.”
ID Logistics will launch its first implementation of Manhattan’s WMS in the pharmaceuticals sector, leveraging Manhattan’s expertise and capabilities before expanding to other sectors.
