Statement on the Port of Baltimore

Reacting to the incident in Baltimore, Logistics UK’s Head of Trade Nichola Mallon said: “At this time our immediate thoughts are with the families and friends of all those who have lost their lives in this tragic event.

 

The Port of Baltimore is a key logistics and trading hub, particularly for the automotive sector, and there will undoubtedly be short term disruption to supply chains.  However, logistics is a resilient and adaptable industry already focused on mitigating the effects and identifying alternative routes to ensure any disruption to supply is minimised.”
