AITT appoints new General Manager and seeks new Technical Manager

AITT (the Association of Industrial Truck Trainers), has announced the appointment of Liam Knight as General Manager.

Revealing the news, Managing Director of AITT Adam Smith said: “Liam has proved a great success as Technical Manager and in recognition of his contribution, the AITT Council has promoted him to this new position.”

As General Manager, Liam will take a more strategic role in the development of AITT and influence its
continued expansion in the marketplace. According to Mr Smith: “Liam’s experience and drive will be key in enabling him to both develop the business while sustaining AITT’s outstanding reputation for responsiveness, technical excellence and customer support.”

Vacancy for Technical Manager
The appointment of Liam to the role of General Manager opens up a new vacancy within the company – for a Technical Manager.

“As the industry’s fastest growing accrediting body, it is important that we maintain our momentum,”
emphasised Mr Smith.

“The person we are looking for is likely to have a solid background in training and possess the competence to manage AITT’s team of auditors (TSAs); arrange and plan audits with training providers; conduct audits of training providers; and support the development and continuous improvement of training standards. It’s a demanding role yet a very rewarding one. But whoever joins us will benefit from the strong support of a dedicated, professional and very welcoming team.”
