Bretts Transport has once again secured the highest possible food safety accreditation, earning a prestigious BRCGS AA+ grade following an unannounced audit of its warehousing and transport operations.

The Guyhirn-based company received the coveted AA+ rating after inspectors assessed every aspect of its food storage and distribution processes.

The achievement marks the 13th consecutive year Bretts has maintained BRCGS accreditation and the third year running it has achieved the highest possible grade.

The AA+ rating was awarded following an unannounced audit. This was voluntarily adopted by Bretts to demonstrate that exceptional standards are maintained every day, not just during scheduled inspections.

Recognised globally as one of the most rigorous food safety and quality certifications, the BRCGS standard evaluates every area of a business. BRCGS covers everything from site and building management to product traceability, vehicle hygiene and operational procedures.

Bretts Transport comments on their latest achievement

Simon Stockwin, Managing Director of Bretts Transport, said, “We are delighted to once again achieve the highest possible accreditation from BRCGS. Achieving this result through an unannounced audit for the second year is a testament to the dedication of our team.

“We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and operational safety. Our customers trust us with their products. We work hard every day to deliver the very best service for them and their own customers.

“This award reflects the commitment of every member of our team. Their efforts ensure we continue to provide an unrivalled service and maintain the standards that have helped us build a strong, respected business over more than nine decades.”

Bretts Transport specialises in the storage and distribution of ambient products throughout the UK. A fifth-generation business, the company has built a reputation for reliability, consistency and customer care over more than 90 years.

Simon added: “We believe exceptional standards should be part of everyday operations, not something reserved for audit day. That’s why we welcome unannounced inspections as they provide genuine reassurance that our processes are performing at the highest level.”

This latest achievement further strengthens Bretts Transport’s position as one of the UK’s leading food warehousing and distribution providers. It give customers confidence that their products are handled with the utmost care, safety and professionalism.
