Charitable work undertaken by Palletline London over the past three years to help ensure no household in the district of Ealing goes hungry, has been recognised in the latest annual report produced by the local foodbank.

Palletline London has provided a dedicated vehicle and driver to work in partnership with Ealing Foodbank. They have collected much-needed food and other items from local supermarkets.

The logistics provider has now supported the initiative for three consecutive years. They have helped the foodbank meet growing demand for its services across the borough.

In 2025, the foodbank received 119 tonnes of donated food and purchased another 79 tonnes of essential items to help some of the region’s poorest households.

Together, the donations and purchases allowed the foodbank to distribute enough food to make up 335,448 healthy, balanced meals. The distribution fed 23,962 adults and 13,306 children in that time.

Keeping donations moving

At various times over the 12 months, Palletline helped with the distribution of the goods. They transported food between local branches of Tesco, the Ealing Foodbank warehouse, its eight foodbank centres and the foodbank in Slough.

The food is then divided to make parcels large enough to supply meals for three days. Last year 15,614 parcels were distributed.

The foodbank team of 350-plus volunteers were part of more than 1,800 signposting conversations. Each of them advised people where to go for help with debts, benefits, filling in forms and more.

Those conversations generated a further £839,059 for foodbank users who had sought the advice.

The report from Ealing Foodbank said, “Big thanks to Palletline for their support in transporting food donations between supermarkets, our warehouse and our foodbank centres.”

A shared commitment to the local community

Ucal McLeod, General Manager of Palletline London, said, “We are incredibly proud to have supported Ealing Foodbank for the third consecutive year. We are delighted to see the contribution of our team recognised in its latest report.

“The reality is that foodbanks continue to face significant and sustained demand from people who never imagined they would need to ask for help. Behind every parcel distributed is a person or family facing genuine hardship. That is why supporting organisations such as Ealing Foodbank is so important.

“Everyone at Palletline London has got behind this initiative. From our drivers and warehouse teams through to our office staff, there is a real commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate and helping those most in need.

“We have the vehicles, the expertise and the resources to make a practical difference. We are proud to play our part in helping Ealing Foodbank reach thousands of local people. Long may that continue.”
