Talent in Logistics Awards now open

Entries are open for the Talent in Logistics Awards 2019. Talent in Logistics supports and celebrates the 2.2million+ logistics, transport and warehousing employees that keep the logistics sector running.
The awards, which are free to enter, will see a number of new additions to this year’s categories, not only celebrating the individuals that contribute to the industry operationally, but the teams and strategies that successfully develop talent to drive the industry forward.
New Categories include Innovation in Recruitment, Excellence in Coaching & Mentoring and Best Place to Work, as well as the prestigious Rising Star award which celebrates up and coming talent within the industry.
Ruth Edwards, Business Manager says; “Our Awards night exists to reward and recognise stand-out individuals, teams and organisations that successfully attract, develop and engage talent, in order to drive the industry forward. For us the magic of our sector is in the people and we want to showcase them for all to see.”
The highly anticipated Forklift Driver of the Year will be back once again, with entrants put through a number of theoretical and rigorous practical tests in the form of heats and a live grand final. This will be held during the 2019 Annual Conference and will see finalists make their way through a number of themed challenges and skills tests in order to be awarded the title.
Another new live event is the LGV Driver of the Year award, in which any CAT C or CAT C+E drivers can take on a number of interactive challenges. This award is a chance to recognise the drivers who are the face of our industry and consists of online nomination, live heats and a live grand final.
The judging panel will be made up industry leaders and influencers from HR, logistics, leading industry publications and learning and development organisations who will whittle down the applicants. The full judging panel will be announced in due course.
Awards entries will be open until 4th March 2019, with the shortlist announced w/c 25th March. Tickets are now on sale for the glamorous awards ceremony, and spectators are invited to watch the live finals of Forklift Driver of the Year and LGV Driver of the Year on 27th June 2019.
