HSE head to address FLTA safety professionals at the National Fork Lift Safety Conference

The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced that the Philip White of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) will deliver the keynote address at the National Fork Lift Safety Conference 2017 in September.
The conference, which is sponsored by Jungheinrich, is Europe’s only event dedicated to fork lift truck safety.
As the head of operational strategy for the HSE, Philip will reveal vital information on the latest accident statistics and trends in relation to fork lift truck operations.
It is anticipated that Philip will also provide conference goers with an insight into the HSE’s operational strategy for the year ahead, including plans for inspection, prosecution and enforcement measures delivered by its operational units across industry.
FLTA Chief Executive Peter Harvey MBE said: “Information like this is essential for those with a responsibility for ensuring a safe site.
“As such, we are pleased and – more than that – privileged to have Philip addressing our delegates on the important topic of fork truck safety.
“This unmissable event has been carefully designed to address the key issues affecting safety and efficiency in a real-world context and, as ever, the HSE’s contribution to the discussion is truly indispensable,” said Peter.
The FLTA continues to work closely with the HSE, supporting its launch of the #Helping Great Britain Work Well campaign and attending regional meetings to discuss the formulation of a new five-year health and safety strategy.
Described as being a “must attend” even for business of all sizes, the FLTA National Fork Lift Safety Conference 2017 will take place on Wednesday 20th September 2017 at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre near Coventry.
