Palletline Logistics and S&S Celebrate 2 Years of Going Global

Palletline Logistics through its wholly owned subsidiary S&S Distribution Ltd., is proudly celebrating two successful years of providing international freight forwarding and customs brokerage services.

From its facility in Tonbridge, Kent the business handles all aspects of UK customs formalities and manages the international movement of freight through its network of partners in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australasia and the Americas.

BIFA and FIATA member, S&S manages the movement of freight worldwide by sea, road, rail, and air supporting customers importing and exporting their goods.

Established over 50 years ago S&S, part of Palletline, the UK’s leading freight distribution network, has seen a significant increase in demand, in an era of complex geopolitical pressures.

Paul Black, Head of International Freight said: “Navigating the complexities of international shipping, import duties, customs regulations, and inventory management may seem overwhelming, but a logistics partner with the right expertise, experience, knowledge and partnerships that cover the breadth of the globe can help UK businesses take advantage of the opportunities offered by international trade.

“With import and export services to and from China, India, the Americas, Australia, Japan, the EU, and more, our international operation has grown consistently in a short time providing a full end-to-end suite of customs clearance, customs warehousing and International Freight

Forwarding import/exports services in addition to the container de-stuffing, palletisation and UK wide pallet distribution services that S&S has been offering for many years.”

Paul Black continued: “Through establishing the international freight forwarding and customs operation, all Palletline members are able to offer freight forwarding capabilities. S&S customers, our fellow Palletline Logistics businesses and the 78 strong Palletline membership are increasingly taking advantage of this One-Stop-Shop capability.”
