Expert Talent in Logistics Steering Committee Announced for 2019

Following the Talent in Logistics Conference and Awards on 21st June 2018, a Steering Group of leading industry experts has been confirmed to help drive the event forward for 2019.
Talent in Logistics 2019, which will take place on 27th June at Arena MK in Milton Keynes, will continue to comprise a Conference and Awards event dedicated to skills and development in the warehousing, logistics and transport sectors.  However, the Talent in Logistics Steering Committee will work alongside the event organisers to help ensure that the interests of the industry are represented and that both the conference and awards offer the maximum benefit to attendees.
Confirmed members of the Talent in Logistics Steering Committee include representatives from BITA (British Industrial Truck Association), CILT UK (The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport), Handling & Storage Solutions Magazine, Kuehne + Nagel, and RHA (Road Haulage Association), with others to be announced shortly.
The first meeting of the Steering Group will take place in August 2018 to start the process of deciding the key topics of interest and relevance for the 2019 conference and ensure that the agenda complements the industry’s skills agenda and helps tackle its challenges.  The Group will also consider ways that Talent in Logistics may be able to support other skills initiatives in the wider industry.
Alongside the announcement of the Steering Committee, Talent in Logistics has also confirmed that the 2019 Awards will also be evolving to recognise a wider range of topics related to skills, talent, recruitment and retention. Alongside a continued focus on training and instruction, new awards are expected to cover employee engagement, learning and development, diversity and inclusion. Further details will be announced ahead of the awards opening for entries on Monday 7th January 2019.
