Looking ahead to the FLTA National Fork Lift Safety Convention 2019

The Fork Lift Truck Association has announced the date for its annual National Fork Lift Safety Convention.
The prestigious event will be held on Wednesday 30 October 2019, at the Heart of England Event and Conference Centre in Coventry.
Toyota Material Handling UK will once again be sponsoring this year’s convention, which has become one of the most widely anticipated and authoritative events in the materials handling industry.
Designed to encourage proactive change and raise awareness across the industry, the convention embodies the FLTA’s core aim of improving safety in the workplace.
Each year, managers from companies across the UK meet to discuss best practice advice and guidance which gives small, local businesses the opportunity to network with representatives of large companies, such as Babcock, Nestle and Wincanton.
This year’s event programme will include Q&As with industry experts, educational real-life case stories, and presentations from motivational speakers. The informative talks provide delegates with practical and valuable knowledge to enhance the safety of their operations and reduce the risk of accidents.
The FLTA is also an accredited provider for continuing professional development (CPD), and the Safety Convention counts as four CPD hours for all attendees.
Alongside the convention, delegates will also be able to attend a forklift truck safety exhibition featuring safety products and services from a variety of suppliers.
“We are very much looking forward to the event already,” said Peter Harvey, Chief Executive of the FLTA. “The Safety Convention provides a great platform for discussing important industry trends and issues, and gives companies the chance to gain insight that can benefit their business.”
Further details of this year’s FLTA National Fork Lift Safety Convention, including programme line-up and theme, will be released over the coming months.
