Asian Licensing Conference held online next week

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 11th Asian Licensing Conference (ALC), will be held online from 27 – 29 July. ALC is a one-stop online platform where global licensors and brands explore business opportunities with licensees, while licensing agents and traders from all over the world and industry players can stay updated with market intelligence, trends and opportunities.

Thought leaders to share licensing trends
Famed for inspiring insights and renowned speakers, ALC 2022 will feature 22 thematic sessions with 34 speakers. Industry elites from 1011 SIPTEA, Animoca Brands, ARTiSTORY, BBS Records, Brandgenuity, Dapper Labs, Garena Online, Licensing International, MRM Entertainment, Semk (B-Duck), ShineRay, Striker Entertainment, Smiley and more will address topical issues on non-fungible token (NFT), metaverse, brands crossover, arts & culture licensing, art technology, blockchain gaming, location-based entertainment (LBE) experiences and ESG in licensing, and more.

Licensing Academy will also launch thematic workshops to introduce industry beginners to the basics of licensing.

Brand Forum debut
The inaugural Brand Forum will take place alongside ALC, featuring 10 established brands in Asia, including BANDAI NAMCO, CAPCOM, DNP, Fuji Television, Minto and Sony Creative. Brand managers share their stories and connect with participants for potential partnerships. In addition, 45 Hong Kong home-grown brands from DLAB will present their creative characters, animation, products and gaming design.

Participants can explore potential business collaborations at complimentary business matching meetings.
