Visilion and FourKites supply chain visibility

A new partnership between supply chain visibility platform provider FourKites and Sony Network Communications Europe will help more customers use Visilion from Sony to uncover supply chain blind spots with real-time data on cargo location and condition.

FourKites is a platform for supply chain visibility, used for millions of shipments daily. The platform combines powerful machine learning with cargo data to help supply chains digitise their operations for end-to-end visibility. Visilion provides supply chains with seamless, real-time data on the location and condition of their cargo – captured with world-class IoT technology from Sony.

“To create resilient supply chains of the future, we need more teamwork and collaboration. We are therefore happy to partner with FourKites. Together we will put actionable data in the hands of more businesses, enabling new levels of supply chain visibility and sustainability,” says Erik Lund, Head of the Tracking Division, Visilion, Sony Network Communications Europe.

“Businesses today require more high-quality, real-time supply chain data,” says Nimesh Patel, Vice President of Global Alliances and Partnerships at FourKites. “Visilion provides an extra layer of granular data about the contents of containers and status of sensitive and/or temperature-controlled shipments. Our partnership will ensure that this data becomes more accessible than ever to businesses around the world.”

FourKites’ visibility platform and Visilion both help customers see what’s happening in their supply chain. Now they will see even more. Mutual customers will be able to access FourKites’ visibility platform alongside the advanced tracking solution Visilion. This combination takes global, multi-modal visibility to new heights.

It is a natural partnership based on a common value in collaboration – the best path forward to global supply chain resilience. Fact-based communication and data sharing improve transparency between businesses and supply chain outcomes for everyone. By taking collaboration to heart, the partnership also empowers customer collaboration. Supplied with intuitive visibility insights from leading technologies, supply chain leaders can supercharge stakeholder communication, boost transparency and drive resilient strategies with data throughout their operations.
