Diamond Logistics sees inbound enquiries double

Diamond Logistics, the UK-wide, tech-enabled logistics and fulfilment network, has reported a doubling of inbound enquiries over the past six months, driven by increasing demand from ecommerce brands seeking scalable, outsourced fulfilment and greater visibility across their delivery operations.

The surge in interest reflects mounting pressure on growing businesses to manage fulfilment costs, service levels and customer experience at a time when in-house warehousing and self-managed logistics are becoming increasingly complex and expensive.

Technology at the core of growth

At the heart of Diamond’s growth is Despatchlab, its proprietary logistics and fulfilment platform. It brings together carrier management, warehouse management and real-time delivery visibility in a single system. Despatchlab enables businesses to maintain control and transparency while outsourcing the operational burden.

Diamond Logistics operates a national network of independent, owner-led logistics partners, allowing ecommerce brands to benefit from local fulfilment with national scale. This model has proven particularly attractive to scale-up businesses that have outgrown home fulfilment or single-site warehouses but are not yet suited to large, centralised fulfilment hubs.

As demand continues to rise, Diamond Logistics has set out ambitious growth plans for its partner network. They have a target of reaching 50 network partners by Q1 2027. The expansion will further strengthen the company’s fulfilment footprint, supporting faster delivery times, reduced risk and greater resilience.

Expansion plans to meet rising demands

Diamond Logistics Founder & CEO Kate Lester said the increase in enquiries reflects a shift in mindset among ecommerce brands. She said, “More businesses are recognising that fulfilment is no longer a back-office function. It’s central to customer experience, cashflow and growth.

“Outsourcing doesn’t mean losing control, on the contrary, if done properly. It gives brands more visibility and flexibility than managing everything themselves, which from our perspective is becoming entirely unnecessary for the vast majority of start-ups and scale ups.”

With ecommerce volumes continuing to grow at a rate of between seven and ten percent annually representing over 38% of all sales in the UK, consumer expectations around delivery speed and reliability showing no signs of slowing. Diamond Logistics expects demand for outsourced fulfilment and technology-led logistics solutions to continue accelerating through 2026 and beyond.
