Intermodal Europe 2015 will once again host two live conference streams throughout the three-day event on 17-19 November at the Hamburg Messe. With the addition of the ‘RORO conference stream’, new for 2015, there are more free-to-attend high-level sessions than ever before.
With a number of significant challenges within the intermodal and ro-ro market, the Intermodal Europe 2015 conference will provide a platform for professionals to come together, learn, discuss and debate the issues that are being faced today.
With interactive debates, live panel discussions and a unique opportunity to hear from some of the most influential names in the industry, Intermodal Europe’s free-to-attend conference is designed to give attendees a comprehensive market overview.
Experts from world-leading institutions, companies, associations and research companies will gather to address Intermodal topics such as Growth and Consolidation in the International Container Market, Rail Freight Infrastructure, New Intermodal Networking Approaches, Intermodal Challenges, Future Reefer Machinery Designs, F-Gas Regulations and the Alliances Debate. With the RORO conference sessions focusing on: New routes and future trade maps, RORO Port Forum, Fuel and emissions and RORO Shipper/Car Carrier: panel discussion.
Speakers include Camilla Jain Holtse, Competition Compliance Officer at Maersk Line, Stijn Rubens, Senior Consultant at Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, Sascha Westermann, Head of Intermodal at Port of Hamburg and Per Westling, Managing Director at Stena RoRo.
“The conference will cover a range of issues and innovations relating to the global container shipping and intermodal industry, as well as incorporating the newly added RORO focus” says Sophie Ahmed, Event Director.  “To help attendees maximise their time at this year’s conference and exhibition, we have grouped conference sessions into topical focus forums: including the Alliances Debate, a Cold Chain Summit, Intermodal and RORO Port Forums, a Shipping Line Panel and the Hamburg Intermodal Summit, which is hosted by the German Promotion Centre for Intermodal Transport and, for the first time at Intermodal, will be conducted in German”.
Speaking on the issue of port congestion within the Intermodal Port Forum, Christina Prieser explains, “Events like the Intermodal Europe provide an excellent opportunity for the different players of the transport industry to meet personally and to discuss the interrelations between the different modes of transport”
“The conference will provide a platform for visitors to hear the opinions of leading industry experts from across the globe” explains Sophie Ahmed, “They’ll be discussing the hottest topics in the industry which I’m sure will spark insightful debate and provide attendees with knowledge that can be applied to future business strategies.”
Intermodal Europe & RORO conference takes places on 17-19 November at the Hamburg Messe, and is free-to-attend to all registered visitors.
