Davies Turner has acquired a landmark logistics facility near Heathrow Airport. The newly completed logistics hub will become the new headquarters of Davies Turner Air Cargo. It represents one of the most significant property investments in the company’s recent history.

Strategic location strengthens air freight operations

Located less than two miles from Heathrow Airport’s cargo terminal and just 500 yards from Junction 14 of the M25, the 130,000 sq ft facility places Davies Turner Air Cargo at the centre of the UK’s most important air freight gateway. The location provides unrivalled access to global markets and key transport networks.

The acquisition forms part of Davies Turner’s long-term strategy to invest in critical logistics infrastructure that supports customer growth, operational excellence and future expansion. The new site has been selected to strengthen the company’s capacity and improve efficiency. It provides a modern, future-ready environment for both employees and customers.

The facility comprises approximately 70,000 sq ft of high-specification warehousing. It features a 12.5-metre clear internal height and two mezzanine floors providing a further 50,000 sq ft of operational space. The building also benefits from five dock-loading doors and two level-access loading doors. Together with 10,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation, it creates a modern, scalable environment to support the continued growth and development of Davies Turner Air Cargo.

Reflecting the group’s commitment to sustainability and responsible development, the building has achieved a BREEAM Excellent certification and carries an EPC A+ energy rating.

Commitment to UK air freight

Commenting on the acquisition, James Wheatley, managing director of Davies Turner Air Cargo, said, “This acquisition represents a major milestone for Davies Turner Air Cargo. It demonstrates our long-term commitment to the UK air freight market. Heathrow remains the country’s premier international cargo gateway. This strategically located facility provides an exceptional platform from which to support our customers’ future growth. The investment gives us the capacity, infrastructure and operational flexibility required to continue developing our services for many years to come.”

The facility is currently being prepared for occupation, with an official opening scheduled for later this year.
